Asia Motors facts: Asia Motors started as a government manufacturing initiative in South Korea in 1965. From 1976 it was a division of Kia, which in turn was later bought by Hyundai. Asia's most well-known model, the Rocsta, was based on the design of the South Korean Army's 4WD vehicle. Asia Motors was discontinued as a standalone brand in 1999.
