Very unprofessional service. Mechanic couldn’t do service on the date booked so hard to reschedule. Very hard to contact mechanic with him not getting back to me when several messages were left. Mechanic rang at 4:30pm the day before service was scheduled and said he couldn’t get hold of the parts required for the service. He did not pick up the vehicle at the time he said he would. Hi Katrina, I appreciate you taking the time to post your feedback, must admit I was a little surprised after the last conversation I had with your partner seemed quite positive so I assumed you were both understanding of the situation. Again, I apologise for the issues you experienced and the frustration they caused. 1. I had to reschedule your booking after I was made aware of extra works that weren't planned for. The booking request I received was for a standard service when it should have been a logbook service. Unfortunately, the difference between a standard service and this particular logbook service was an extra 4 hours of labour and a few more parts. I contacted you as soon as I was made aware of the mistake, to explain and reschedule for another day that week where I could accommodate this larger timeslot. 2. Unfortunately, the problem I face working by myself is juggling the admin and the labour, I used to answer my phone every time it would ring, but the constant interruptions not only broke my concentration but added time to each job. So I decided that it was best to check my voicemails after work as not to affect the quality of workmanship or put me behind in time. I appreciate your feedback and will work on improving this process. 3. I did have a bit of trouble sourcing the timing belt kit for the job. It was unusual that no one had any in stock so I called to keep you in the loop in case I wasn't able to get the part in time. It's a situation that can occur from time to time but some mechanics would not give you the same courtesy of a call or just reschedule the job. 4. I managed to track down the timing belt kit at the minute and drove a substantial distance to pick it up the morning of the service, at no extra cost. Unfortunately, the supplier didn't open until 8.30am so this did put me behind a bit. Usually, I do call customers if I am running late but as I had already advised I was picking the part up in the morning and was told the car would be on site all day with the keys in it, I didn't feel the need to bother you again. Apologies for not calling to let you know the revised ETA. 5. I completed the service for the quoted amount and also fixed your water leak at no extra charge. I was very aware your experience had been far from smooth but I felt you had been very understanding of the situation so I fixed it as a bonus.
