I chose to go to Bridgestone because it's close to my workplace, they had a special on and offered an uber credit. Had my log book service done and that was great no problems there. Paid extra for a diagnostic scan because my engine light was on and certain codes came up, it was suggested that I would need my timing chain replaced, and was quoted around $3000. Thought that is excessive. Two days later put a request through for more quotes to see if there was a price difference with other mechanics. Bridgestone Townsville (the same place 🤦🏽‍♀️) sent through a fixed quote for $5200. Went to my partners mechanic and timing chain didnt need replacing at all and only had to pay $370 for a solenoid to be replaced. ... view more
