I got my Hyundai i30 serviced yesterday 3/6/25 Drop off and pick up was easy. On pick up I was told they don't stamp the service record book for a Basic service only a Logbook service. I find that quite strange and unreasonable . I fully understand the difference between a Logbook service and a Basic service. The service book says "scheduled maintenance service" with a comments section. From previous experience, most garages stamp the maintenance service book with "basic service" written in the comments section, and I'm OK with that. It shows a continuous service record of the vehicle be it Logbook or Basic service, called a "Service Validation stamp" Perhaps, state clearly on your website that basic services will not be stamped in the maintenance service book so others do not fall in the same trap. Issuing a receipt is not the same as a service validation stamp. (BASIC SERVICE Can also be called a minor or general service. Includes an engine oil and oil filter change, a general safety inspection and report of any obvious issues. Rule of thumb: service your car every 6 months or 10,000kms, whichever comes first.) Happy to return to have my book stamped, if not, I will not be returning to mycar Tyre & Auto Sunnybank. Cheers
