I had a p2764 code on my WRX, I explained to them that I was aware. I'd already had it diagnosed. Upon payment, I was told that they ran a diagnostic on my vehicle even after I'd told them it was already done and I wasn't consulted about them doing another one. They told me that the mafs sensor had been disconnected and they re connected it, erased the code and told me they'd fixed the problem and the dash warnings were gone and after a test drive they stayed gone. Hearing this I didn't mind paying the extra for the diagnostic as it would save me a trip to the transmission mechanic. I payed and left but 100 metres down the road the dash lit up again with all the previous warning lights I'd told them about. They plugged in their tool, cleared the code and charged me an extra $40 for plugging in a tool and erasing the code. I was too angry to go back as I didn't want to make a scene. Will not be going back. I didn't ask for them to do it, they took it upon themselves and spun me some story about fixing my problem so I wouldn't mind paying $40 for something that took zero effort and less than 20 seconds to do.
