Repair Street Garage

I booked in for a basic service and got told nothing was wrong mechanically. This was done in Friday. On Tuesday I was driving alone a main busy road and my car stopped out of the blue and I couldn’t get it back on. 3.5hrs of waiting with a sick child for it to be towed to another mechanic as the drive belt was completely worn and had snapped. The RACQ roadside assist confirmed this should have been picked up when doing the service, also oil spils, my alternator needed to be completely replaced and my brakes went on it. Now I know things happen but I fail to believe that none of this could have been picked up in a service. I call the mechanic that done the service to be told “you can bring it in but I got 20 cars here and yep just see you then” and hung up. Not good enough and do NOT recommend Repair st
