SAE Automotive is a licensed mechanical workshop at 2/36 Grimwade Street, Mitchell, Australian Capital Territory, in Canberra's northern industrial area. What brake work is carried out?
Brakes are one of the workshop's main areas. That includes brake inspections, brake pad replacement, rotor machining to restore a true braking surface, brake fluid flushes and full brake system repairs. Machining rotors in preference to replacing them where they are still within tolerance keeps the cost of a brake job down for the owner.
What air conditioning work is done?
The team is ARCtick certified, which is the licensing required in Australia to handle refrigerant, and they carry out air conditioning regas, leak detection, system diagnostics and repairs. Leak detection matters on a system that has been regassed before and lost its charge again, because it locates where the refrigerant is escaping so that point can be repaired.
How are faults diagnosed?
Diagnosis is done with computerised fault scanning, covering engine warning lights, electrical faults and running problems. The scan data is used to narrow down the cause before any parts are ordered, which keeps the repair targeted.
Can business fleets be serviced?
Yes. SAE Automotive runs a fleet servicing arrangement for Canberra businesses with priority scheduling, and it is an approved workshop for AutoGuru and Blue Toro fleet work. Logbook servicing, brakes, air conditioning and diagnostics for a fleet of cars, SUVs or light commercial vehicles can all be handled through the one workshop.
