We are family owned and operated in the Ipswich area since 2006.  We pride ourselves on high-quality customer service and for a reasonable price.  We believe that you get what for you pay for, so cheap is not always the best!  We won't discount our service for quality and safety because our family is important and we care about you and your family as we care for ours!  We use quality oils and quality parts and won't sacrifice price on your safety!

To keep your car in peak performance, we carry log book servicing, all mechanical repairs from brakes, clutches, air con repairs, vehicle electrical fit outs, timing belts, engine light diagnosing, tyres and so much more!  From a light bulb to an engine replacement - we can pretty much do anything, just ask us!

AND regardless of the time and Km’s done since your last service we can perform maintenance at regular intervals that suit you and your family.  Ask us about our payment plan options too!

We have a pickup and drop off service (within 5klms of the workshop) or ask for a loan car when booking in to use while we carry out your service/repairs at no extra charge, but we do ask you to replace the fuel you use.   You will also receive for FREE 6 months 24/7 Roadside Assistance when you service your vehicle with us if you don't already have it!

We are an RACQ Approved Repairer and offer a 12 Month Nationwide Warranty on all work carried out.

I really enjoyed the warm welcoming vibe and I really appreciated the video I was sent about the car. I have never had this before and I was interested to actually see what was wrong and had it explained to me. I also appreciated the chat Luke and I had when I got there about the plan moving forward. We will definitely be back and will be putting our other car in aswell.

Brought my VE Ute in, for a harmonic balancer, checked my front suspension, and replaced a headlight globe. asked for the parts number before dropping the Ute the following day. Was charged $559 for the balancer and $86 for the seal. About $210 more than MSRP and $22 more than MSRP for the seal. I didn’t get the parts numbers until after my invoice was paid. As for the front suspension, I was told my right rear muffler hanger was rusted and that was clunking and rattling. But my lower control arm bushes were starting to split. I did mention I had concerns about the top strut mount bearing prior to bringing the Ute in. $123 for diagnostic. Replacing the globe turned into tracing a dead ground wire into the sealed headlight and required a fully new front headlight assembly. $181.60 for diagnostic. I have brought it to another mechanic, who immediately replaced the sway bar link pins because they were cactus. After paying $123 for a diagnostic here. And they are rewiring the headlight which I thought after paying $181 would have happened here. Not impressed and won’t be coming back. Ask for the parts number before you pay as you have the right to know what’s going in the car and what it is you are paying for.

Luke was awesome, listened to the issues that I had had and then concentrated on what he thought the problem was and was good with a roundabout price there were no surprises as such, and then explained what they found upon pickup, the mechanics seemed good and the other receptionist was welcoming which is nice.

I’ve been going to Ipswich City Mechanical for years and I have stayed loyal due to their staff, performance, and product. The staff continue to make you feel comfortable and welcomed and they always make you feel in control of your car and its needs. I have never once felt like Ipswich City Mechanical was trying to take advantage of me, I feel like I’m taking advantage of them for the things they offer! I trust no one else with my car and I remain to do so!

Feel I need a second opinion, didn't like the way I was spoken to, I've been a regular customer for years and never had a problem, my last visit has made me lose trust and makes me not want to spend another dime there, to be honest. I don't think I'll be back.

Very helpful, polite, and professional. They are also flexible with when you can drop your car off also I didn’t realise they have a mobile mechanic option as well.

Was affordable professional and not stressful at all, They fit me in at short notice and had my tyres done within an hour on a Friday afternoon. Very happy with everything from start to finish I will definitely use them again and also recommend them to my friends and family.

Very happy customer. Not only did they fix the broken windows but they also cleaned up the broken pieces of glass that was smashed all over the seats. Not sure if that is a part of the service they do but it definitely helped me so much.
