I went there for RWC. The mechanic's objections were 5 items out of these 5 items, 2 were OK. The rest were unfair. Like on the bumper, there was a very slight scratch because of parking. The mechanic was saying that all the body frame must be investigated. I changed the Tyres in Costco and did the alignments a few months ago. The mechanic was saying the wheels are not aligned. I have the certificate for the alignment. Overall, very disappointed in his work. It seems like their strategy is creating problems out of nowhere. Unfortunately, RWC has become a cash cow. I want to raise a complaint and request a refund.

Hi John, we are sorry to hear that our service has disappointed you! We understand that the RWC outcome on your vehicle did not quite meet your personal expectations. Please understand we carry out the RWC checks as per the VicRoads guidelines and it is not a subjective check to be carried out. We did advise you on your vehicle the Left Hand Rear Quarter Panel is damaged and the Left Hand Passenger Door has an excessive gap visually, we stood by our report to you that a structural report should be obtained to ensure the overall safety of the vehicle. And this needs to be done by a registered participant in the Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme, they would be able to assess what pre-crash level of safety is required in order to pass the RWC. Please note we do not gain anything from referring you to a third party for the Structural Report, we can only report and suggest our findings on your vehicle. In regards to the wheel alignment, the reason we put down wheel alignment on your vehicle is you do have leaking with rear shocks, and we suggested to you that to change your shocks in pairs and follow by a wheel alignment after the repair is carried out. It is not as a result of not acknowledging your wheel alignment done in Costco couple of months ago and simply making money out of your vehicle. I believe we have also provided a quote for the defects found on your vehicle, we have never pushed customers to get the repair job done with us. If the customer happens to find a better price elsewhere for the repair, it is completely understandable. If you have further questions on the defects reported to you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Lied to my face about what was wrong with my car and said it was going to cost thousands of dollars to fix. Took it elsewhere and went through the list together that M1 gave me and it was filled with false information. I would not recommend these guys to anyone.

Hi Ash, we are sorry to hear that our service has disappointed you and failed to meet your personal expectation in regards to the condition of your vehicle. We carry out the RWC check as per VicRoads guidelines. With every defects we deem to find, we are always happy to show our customers why their vehicles have failed and the required standards stated in the VicRoads RWC guidelines. In terms of RWC defects rectification cost, we do provide the quote for the repair but of course, it is the customer's choice to choose which workshop they would like the repair job to be completed. If customer happens to find a cheaper price elsewhere for the repair, it is entirely up to the customer.
