On the 12th of Feb, I took my Nissan XTrail in for a full service, upon collecting my car they had only done a quick service instead of a big full one. Around the 22 of March, my car started to make rattling noises and then not long after my aircon compressor died. On the 9th of April, I put my car in to get the CV boots repaired which was done, I had told the mechanic to check the aircon and the rattling, upon picking up my car none of these things was checked. I went back again and to get my aircon checked and the mechanic said the compressor was gone and quoted me $350 plus labour. I booked my car in on the 21 April and had the compressor replaced and asked the mechanic to check the rattle. When I picked my car up the mechanic had fixed the compressor and charged me $650 instead of $350 and still had not checked the rattle. I suggested the oil might be low as the light was flickering. Turns out the oil was bone dry. There is no apparent leak nor had my car blown smoke, it appears from the initial service the oil was not topped up, or drained and not replaced. I would never return to this mechanic.
