Manual transmission gearbox oil was not included, even though this was part of my 100,000km service.  Hardly the fault of the workshop though.  Still disappointing though, as I was expecting a proper logbook service, which didn't happen.

I trusted DanCar Automotives to look after my car as I fully knew the owner and the Chief mechanic. Very professional, friendly, and honest to all clients. Danny is a well-experienced mechanic. Use DanCar Automotives and he will give you the best of their knowledge and skill.

All service requirements were completed as well as a few extra things. The car is running well and was returned clean. The only issue and it is not a big one, is that my courtesy car was 3/4 full when picked up but had to fill it on return.

Chris was helpful, prompt and answered all my questions, and completed the job faster than I thought. He is a very knowledgeable mechanic!

He is approachable and easy to speak with, even for a mechanically inept and befuddled 80 year old such as me. I had a recurring problem with my Subaru Forester for the past year. Despite taking it to 3 separate mechanical (so called) professionals in Brisbane the problem kept reoccurring. While recently in Toowoomba I was advised to take it to Downs Auto Cute by an acquaintance who said they were true professionals and would solve the issue I was have having with the car.

I took it to them and was greeted by Barry who immediately instilled me with a sence of confidence that he knew that he was talking about as well as being a great himan being.

Upon my return a few hours later, he said I think I have found your problem 

Part ordered, it was fitted yesterday and the year long problem has been sorted out, I could not be happier.

I intend from now on to bring my car back to Downs Auto Cure for every service and issue it may have, as professional and friendly service like this is hard to find and is well worth the drive up from Brisbane for peace of mind.

after having paid for diagnostic work, i asked how much to fix the problem having been told it needed a new alternator and was advised around $650. it wasnt explained to me that was just the cost of the alternator. with fitting came to $858. big hit for an aged pensioner. having said that the work was well done

Good mechanics and service, however communication could be improved in regards to when you're vehicle is ready or when and if parts have arrived.

I had good service but cannot judge the actual work done yet. I have found no problems with the service yet.

Peter and Nicole, owners of McDonald Automotive Services are always helpful and accommodating, especially when you have some kind of emergency.  They are also mindful of circumstances (I am an aged pensioner, not so flush with money), and always try to work with your budget, or help with alternatives.

Had put the vehicle in for a day service and a pickup, the mechanic advised me that they were still waiting for another tyre to be delivered and didn't have the correct engine oil. The mechanic didn't want to give the synthetic brand and said sorry but wanted to be honest. It made the next day troublesome without a vehicle to go to work but definitely appreciated the honesty the most.

Service was fine. They were a little late, so left my car with keys hidden on it. They didn't seem too interested in my fuel/air mixture problem. Got it fixed elsewhere with no issues.
