Matthew and Ivan and their team of qualified mechanics at ABS Auto Hobart can look after your vehicle's logbook servicing, brakes, clutch, suspension, and general under-car repairs. The workshop is open Monday to Saturday and is situated close to bus stops on Elizabeth Street and Warwick Street.

The workshop has been in operation for over 10 years and includes 3 service bays, attended to by 2 qualified mechanics.

All service, repairs and parts carry a national 6 month / 10,000 kilometre warranty.

A drop-off service can be arranged (up to 5 kilometres).

Good comprehensive service, and more importantly was reminded about a necessary timing belt change at 100,000 kms, which my previous service mechanic had failed to raise just before and after 100,000kms.

Appointment was booked and confirmation was sent to me.
Turned up and was told no appointment was made and was turned away!
Waste of my time and money!

The workshop explained everything fully and checked with me before doing anything additional to the quote.

Very fairley priced.  Some other mechanics wanted to charge 9 hours for a approximately 2 hour job.

Auto care was on point with the estimated labour time. I could have done the job myself but simply didn’t have the time.  

All youngish staff clearly enjoying there trade with no feelings of been ripped off.

Will definitely be my first choice for future jobs

It is quite rare these days to feel valued as a customer, but ABS definitely ticks all the boxes there.  They don’t have fancy designer  foyers, but they don’t charge through the nose for things that really are not necessary.  I just want my car fixed and looked after for an affordable price.  And that is exactly what they do.  I have found them them trustworthy, honest and direct, and I can tell their smile and friendliness is genuine!

The work was done as they said, on time and the car is running good at the price they give top work.
