Car filters play a crucial role in multiple applications, from engine oil to fuel and air filtration. Here we have compiled in one place the most frequently asked questions about automotive filters.
How often should my fuel filter be replaced?
Your fuel filter should be replaced at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer. Each car and fuel filter combination will have a different life span which the manufacturer has worked out to ensure your car is operating as efficiently as possible.
How often should my air filter be replaced?
It’s recommended that your air filter be changed every 10,000km to 15,000km. The air filter is a component that will be checked and replaced if needed by your local mechanic during regular service intervals.
How often should my cabin filter be replaced?
Your cabin filter will be inspected (and replaced if needed) by your mechanic at the routine service interval stated by the manufacturer, so it’s best to keep your servicing up to date to continue the flow of fresh, clean air into your car.
How often should I replace my oil filter?
Most manufacturers recommend your oil filter be replaced every time an oil change is performed. The exact intervals will vary depending on the make and model of your car. Your local mechanic will take care of it each time you book your car for a service.
