What are the main electrical components in a car?

The main electrical components are the battery, wiring/wiring loom, relays/fuses, ECU, alternator, starter motor, fuel pump/ignition coil, cooling fan, and lights.

What is an Auto Electrician?

Automotive electricians are highly trained specialists who identify, diagnose and repair faults in automotive electrical systems. Auto electricians are also able to install or remove electrical equipment or components from cars, motorcycles, trucks or commercial equipment.

Are there mobile auto electricians?

Yes! There are plenty of mobile auto electricians that can assist with your electrical needs wherever you may be. Mobile Auto Electricians will have a van containing all the tools and equipment they need to complete the job, however, they will need a safe and secure area to work on your vehicle.

Are Auto Electricians the same as mechanics?

Whilst most auto electricians will be capable of completing mechanical tasks that are required to complete any electrical-related work, they may not be qualified as a mechanic (although some may be dual qualified), or have the same extent of knowledge, experience or tools as a fully-fledged mechanic.
