How Bendix Australia has been supporting the auto trade during COVID-19

Bendix is a proud and innovative brand, and has stood by Australians since its birth in 1955, when it was known as Mintex.
As expected, Bendix has risen to the occasion and helped support the Australian automotive trade during the unprecedented times that COVID-19 has delivered.
With local manufacturing a key part of how Bendix operates, they were able to ensure that a steady supply of brake parts and components were available to its partner network nationwide, subsequently making them available to consumers who needed them.
Many essential workers never stopped, even at the height of COVID-19, and they were still relying on their cars to get them to and from work safely, day in and day out.
With parts suppliers such as Bendix making sure that important braking parts were still available, essential workers had nothing to worry about if they experienced braking trouble during the pandemic.
General Manager George Kyriakopoulos provided some insight into how Bendix has been approaching COVID-19.
“Like everyone, we are feeling the impact of COVID-19. Our priority has been the wellbeing of our people and their families. I can’t be prouder of our workforce during this time, in fact, I can’t be prouder of All Australians. We have worked together in an unprecedented way which gives us great hope for your country’s future.”
Mr Kyriakopoulos goes on to assure everyone that their factory in Ballarat continues to operate, just at a lower capacity and with all necessary safety precautions in place.
In times like this, the importance of having a manufacturing capacity in Australia is realised. The entire process for Bendix, from designing to manufacturing, is completed in Australia. During times where Aussies need them the most, they’re able to deliver.
